The accommodation listed in the table below marked with a star, can be booked directly with the hotel. These hotels all provide a different Bali experience and they are generally smaller hotels and villas than those you would book through a travel agent.

The other hotels are larger well known properties and bookings are made through a reputable travel company which is affiliated with us.

To ensure that we offer you the most suitable hotels for families. All hotels on the site are only included after we or site users had a positive experience staying at the hotel. If you have stayed at a hotel that you would recommend to other families please email us your story and we will post on the site.

• Suji Bungalows*- Great budget property in Poppies Lane, 2 free standing family rooms ....value!
• David and Cathy's room (at the Nagasari Hotel)* - Popular budget property close in to the main Kuta square area - Value!
• Santika Beach Hotel - A pleasant hotel at the south end of Tuban on the beach - two pools and good interconnecting rooms
• Bali Dynasty Hotel - a very popular family hotel in a good position near Waterbom Park - good family rooms and a great kids club
• Bali Hai Resort and Spa - A good family property in Tuban, some of the rooms even have Playstations for the kids!
• Ramada Bintang Resort - A large hotel in a good spot, popular with families
• Green Garden Hotel - A budget property on Jalan Kartika Plaza , has a pool and clean but basic rooms

• Adika Sari Cottages* - A great little budget hotel in a good spot with a 2 bed family room 
• Legian Beach Hotel* - This hotel has good family rooms, is on the beach and near shops/restaurants
• Puri Raja - For older families as there are not specific family rooms - 2 pools and good value (link to be added)
• Resort Tunjung Bali*- A favorite in Legian, it has 3 bedroom villas for larger families in a garden setting
• Hotel and Residence Jayakarta - A large and popular hotel on the beach in Legian - good value!
• Bali Ayu Hotel - A smaller new hotel that represents great value - good for older families

• Mentari Sanur Hotel* - A smaller hotel in a quiet lane in North Sanur. 2 good family rooms (interconnecting) and a good pool. 
• Griya Santrian Hotel - This a beachfront property that is very popular and close to the centre of Sanur - rooms are bungalow style in groups of two or four - better for older families
• Puri Santrian - Sister property to the Puri Santrian - further from town and quieter, also very popular
• Raddin Sanur Bali - This gets great reviews from families, right on the beach with a kids activity plan. Has a real Bali feel about the property.
• The Grand Bali Beach - A large original hotel on the beach in Sanur. Would suggest the cottages , they are near a pool, closer to cafe's etc. They are in duplex style, good to book to for the family

• Puri benoa cottages - a small property on the beach at Tanjung Benoa with pleasant rooms and it is well priced
• Sheraton Laguna Nusa Dua - This is a top of the stars property, if you are looking for luxury and the best pools in Bali ! Pools have shallow beach sections and there are kids pools and playgrounds
• Aston Bali Resort  - a large resort right on the beach in Tanjung Benoa - great pool and interconnecting rooms - fabulous bathrooms!
• Novotel Bali Benoa - Hotel has 3 pools and the popular Gecko Club for kids. The run of the house rooms are too small to fit in a family - consider booking two rooms.
• Villa Bintang - Smallish hotel near the Aston, it has a good sized pool and large rooms. Has good prices and for a family you would book two superior rooms. Gets good reviews from families.
• Tirta Damai - A new listing - a fabulous B and B in Jimbaran . There are two rooms which are interconnecting and great for a family. They will add a bed to the room if you only have one child.

• Klub Kokos* - A family favourite, great family rooms, pool and activities for the children - Highly recommended for younger families
• Taman Harum Cottages* - Another favourite for younger families. Large family villas, pool and activities for the kids and mum can even do a cooking class!
• Greenfield Bungalows* - A new addition, walking distance to Ubud, good range of rooms and a superb pool - For families with older children/teenagers.

• Candi Beach Cottages - Candi Dasa* - This hotel is on the beach and has a lovely small pool and good interconnecting rooms
• Lotus Bungalows - This is a lovely small beachfront hotel that do a deal on the second room for the kids!
• Puri Bagus Lovina resort - Lovina - Bungalow style property (40) detached or duplex settings. Rice view rooms are cheaper, bigger and can fit a family of 2 plus 2.
• Bayu Cottages - Amed * - A small group of cottages on the beach, the rooms have just been upgraded and a pool added. Great value! Link to be added
• Aneka Lovina Cottages - Lovina - This hotel is a short distance from Kalibukbuk. It has interconnecting rooms and Cartoon Channel on the TV. Link to be added
• Le Meridien Nirwana Golf and Spa - 5 star resort about 50 minutes from Kuta Has 4 great pools with interconnecting water slides one is 54 m long! and a free kids club. Includes a golf course for Dad.

Lombok

• Sengiggi Beach resort - This is a hotel that is popular with families, it is close to Senggigi for restaurants and shopping. Has large grounds and a good pool. Gte a room close to the pool! also has a kids club.
• Novotel Lombok Hotel - This hotel is about an hour away from Senggigi. It has 3 pools and a kids club ... great facilities, but it is a long way from anywhere. A good hotel to 'veg' out.
• Sheraton Senggigi Beach Resort - Has a great pool and a Kids club. All the facilities you would expect at a 5 star.
• Holiday Inn Resort - Has a good pool right on the beach. There is a kids club and playground. Is about 5 to 10 minutes from Senggigi , but offers a free shuttle.
